Finalist Notification: March 10, 2008
Slide Return: After May 1, 2008
CD Return: Please make a copy of your digital file as CDs will not be returned.
Exhibition Dates: April 10-13, 2008

The International Portrait Competition has quickly grown to become one the most prestigious events in the field of portraiture today. Each year the selected works have reflected a unique combination of skill and talent. Winners have received international publicity, honor and recognition.

The International Portrait Competition is open to the public. Each participant can enter up to three slides of their work. All work must be your own original design and concept, created independently, completed in the last three years and never won an award in any previous art competition. All media is accepted and encouraged, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional. All entries must be postmarked on or before February 11, 2008. There is an entry fee of $30 (maximum entry of 3 slides). If chosen as a finalist, you must be register for the conference and be in attendance with your original painting to win.

fostering and enhancing the practice, aesthetics and applications of traditional, fine art portraiture.
Membership is open to all individuals with an interest in the art of the portrait.
